10 Day Package Cairo, Luxor Nile cruise, Aswan, Cairo

This is a shortened tour but seeing the most inportant sites in Cario, Aswan and Luxor. You also get to enjoy a wonderful nile cruise, before heading back to Cairo.

Day 1 : cairo arrival & Airport pickup

 

Our representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport then escort you to the Hotel to check-in .

Day 2 : Giza Pyramids & Saqagra necropolis 

 

After breakfast Your Egyptologist guide will pick you up from the hotel to visit The pyramids of Giza , constructed between 2589 and 2530 BC by the famous three rulers of the 4th dynasty Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, these amazing pyramids are the last standing monuments of the 7 wonders of the ancient world , then after drive to saqqara the famous ancient burial ground in Egypt, here you will visit the world famous Step Pyramid of Djoser the most splendid monument at Sakkara and its unique in the ancient Egyptian architecture , consider the world's oldest major stone structure, after finishing your tour you will visit one of the Saqqara weaving schools where we will see beautiful handwoven rugs.  then break for Lunch in a local restaurant before going back to the hotel to relax and a free evening .

Day 3 : Egyptian museum / Coptic Cairo and overnight Sleeper train to Luxor 

 

After breakfast your guide will pick you up to start your tour to the hanging church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt, named for its location above a gatehouse of Babylon fortress in Coptic Cairo (Old Cairo), then visit the cavern church where the holy family stayed during their journey to Egypt. We will take a break for lunch at a Koshari restaurant ( Abu Tarek ) the most famous restaurant in Egypt.

After lunch you will continue your tour of the Egyptian Museum, the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East which houses the largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities in the world. The museum displays an extensive collection spanning from the Pre-dynastic Period to the Greco-Roman Era. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the train station to catch your sleeper train to Luxor .

Day 4 : Luxor arrival & East Bank tour 

 

 Breakfast on board, Upon arrival to Luxor Railway Station your guide will pick you up to visit the fascinating Temple of Karnak, this is a vast complex of buildings added and rebuilt over thirteen centuries but reaching its apex during the New Kingdom period when the capital of Egypt was located in Thebes (today's Luxor) and the temple's main god, Amun-Ra, was made the state god, One of the most impressive sections of the temple is the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 huge columns, then  you will be transferred to your Nile cruise to check in and have lunch and rest this afternoon.

In the evening you will have a guided tour of Luxor Temple by sunset, This temple is really a series of buildings begun by King Amenhotep III , and added to by several subsequent rulers.

Overnight Luxor 

 

Day 5 :Luxor West Bank & Optional hot air balloon 

 

·         Today's early morning you will have an optional Hot air Balloon ride with Sunrise over Luxor City to explore The Valley of the kings and the queens and many other sites from the air . 

 

Then you will be transferred back to your nile cruise for breakfast, then pick up time to visit the tombs of the great pharaohs of the New Kingdom in the Valley of the Kings, then continue your tour to the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the temple has some of the most interesting painted scenes of the

trading expedition she sent to the Land of Punt on the Red Sea coast. On our way back to the Nile cruise we will stop to view the gigantic Colossi of Memnon statues, where new excavations have discovered the remains of the funeral temple of King Amenhotep III , Then you return to your nile cruise for lunch and Sailing from luxor heading south to Aswan via Esna lock .

Overnight Edfu

 

Day6 : Edfu & Komombo temples 

 

After breakfast on board , your guide will Pick you up to visit Edfu Temple by a horse carriage, the temple was built during the Ptolemaic Era between 237 BC and 57 BC, consider to be the most preserved temple of Ancient Egypt , then return back to the Nile Cruise and continue sailing down the Nile towards Komombo. 

The Temple of Komombo was dedicated to two Egyptian gods - Horus the falcon

god and Sobek the crocodile god of fertility.

Overnight Aswan

 

Day 7 : Philae temple  & Optional Nubian village.

 

Morning after breakfast you will be picked up and drive to Philae harbor and from there you will take a motorboat to the beautiful

island and Temple of Philae. From the very earliest times, Aswan has been the source of a special pink granite used in statues for thousands of years, the temple was dedicated to the Goddess Isis, was built during the Ptolemaic era and was one of the last ancient Egyptian temples to remain active, only closing its doors in the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I (527–565 AD) , then after you will be return back to your Nile cruise for Lunch.

 

afternoon you will be free to relax on board or do one of the optional tours like

 

 1- the Nubian Village by a motor boat to experience the life of the native and enjoy the scenery of the nile and the islands on the way .

 

2- Felucca ride , the most traditional wind-powered Egyptian boat, with a view of Elephantine island  & the botanical garden .

Overnight Aswan

 

Day 8 : Check out & Optional tour  to Abu Simbel temples / sleeper train back to Cairo 

 

·         Today we've a phenomenal Optional tour ( approx. 3 hours drive ) to the marvelous and famous world heritage site of Abu Simbel temples of Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari, which cut into the mountain built before his 34th regnal year, both temples were discovered in 1813 almost completely sanded up and Belzoni cleared it in 1817, then both temples were moved in 1964 by the help of Egyptian government and UNESCO to avoid the rising water of the Nile.

 

Then after you will be back to Aswan to catch your Sleeper train back to Cairo. Arriving Cairo next day morning.

 Day 9: Cairo arrival / the national museum of the Egyptian civilization/ Khan el- Khalili Old Bazaar.

 

Breakfast on board, And Arriving back to Cairo this morning upon arrival to Giza railway Station, you will be picked up to start your tour to the NMEC which opened recently in April 18th after the golden parade of the royal mummies in April 3rd, where you can meet the mummies of the kings of ancient egypt in person for the first time, in addition to a very beautiful artifacts from the ancient times through the middle ages until the modern egypt , then after you will visit 

the city center of Old Cairo walking through its streets and enjoy the authentic atmosphere of Cairo day life.also you will have a free time for shopping all the souvenirs you want from Khanel-Khalili Old Bazaar.

Afterwards you will be transferred to your hotel to check in and overnight in Cairo.

Day 10 : Final departure

 

Today after breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo airport to catch your flight for the final departure and the end of our services.
