12 Days Cairo, Aswan, Nile Cruise, Luxor

Come and enjoy the sights of Egypt. Tour the Giza Plateau and visit the Egyptian museum. Then a visit to the old capital of Ancient Egypt before travelling to Aswan where you will embark on your Nile Cruise to explore the amazing ancient temples on the way to Luxor. In Luxor you will be able visit the valley of the Kings a most important site of Ancient Egypt.

Day 1 :  Arrival Cairo

Our representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport then escort you to the Hotel to check-in .

Overnight Cairo ( Steigenberger Tahrir Hotel ).

Day 2 :  Cairo, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Camel Ride 

After breakfast Your Egyptologist guide will pick you up from the hotel to visit The pyramids of Giza , constructed between 2589 and 2530 BC by the famous three rulers of the 4th dynasty Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, these amazing pyramids are the last standing monuments of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, then riding a camel crusing the sahara desert where you can take a good pictures of the 9 pyramids of giza lined up all together in one shoot .

Lunch stop before going back to the hotel to relax .

Day 3 :  Cairo, Memphis  & Saqqara Necropolis full day 

After breakfast you will be driven to Memphis the Capital of ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom was founded by pharaoh Menes, remained an important city throughout ancient Egyptian history ,then continue your visit to Saqqara, the famous ancient burial ground in Egypt, here you will visit the world famous Step Pyramid of Djoser the most splendid monument at Sakkara and its unique in the ancient Egyptian architecture , consider the world's oldest major stone structure, after finishing your tour you will visit one of the Saqqara weaving schools where we will see beautiful handwoven rugs.  then break for Lunch in a local restaurant before going back to the hotel to relax and a free evening .

Day 4 : The National Museum of the Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), Saladin Citadel, & Mohamed Ali Mosque

 a very special visit to the NMEC which opened recently in April 18th after the golden parade of the royal mummies in April 3rd, where you can meet the mummies of the kings of ancient egypt in person for the first time, in addition to a very beautiful artifacts from the ancient times through the middle ages until the modern egypt , Afterward you will explore Saladin citadel, one of the most iconic monuments in Islamic Cairo and among the most impressive defensive fortresses dating to the Middle Ages. Over the centuries many monuments were added to the citadel, such as The Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha known as the alabaster mosque.

Day 5 - Travel : check-out / Coptic Cairo / The Egyptian Museum and sleeper train to Aswan 

After breakfast you will check out from the hotel and start your tour to the hanging church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt, named for its location above a gatehouse of Babylon fortress in Coptic Cairo (Old Cairo), then visit the cavern church where the holy family stayed during their journey to Egypt. We will take a break for lunch at a Koshari restaurant ( Abu Tarek ) the most famous restaurant in Egypt.

After lunch you will continue your tour of the Egyptian Museum, the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East which houses the largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities in the world. The museum displays an extensive collection spanning from the Pre-dynastic Period to the Greco-Roman Era. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the train station to catch your sleeper train to Aswan.

Day 6- Arrival Aswan: Philae Temple & Felucca Tour and Nubian village 

After arrival in the morning, you will start your tour to visit Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis, was built during the Ptolemaic era and was one of the last ancient Egyptian temples to remain active, only closing its doors in the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I (527–565 AD), then after you will check-in the Nile cruise.

In the afternoon you will take a ride in a Felucca, the most traditional wind-powered Egyptian boat, with a view of Elephantine island  & the botanical garden , then continue by a motor boat to visit the Nubian village , and back to the Nile cruise .

Overnight: Aswan / Nile cruise 

Day 7 :  fly to Abu Simbel and back to Aswan / Navigation to KomOmbo / KomOmbo temple & the crocodile museum

After breakfast you will be transferred to Aswan airport to catch your flight to Abu Simbel which is ( approx 40 MINS Flight )  you will visit the Great temple of Ramses II and the temple of his wife Queen Nefertari, which cut into the mountain built before his 34th regnal year, both temples were discovered in 1813 almost completely sanded up and Belzoni cleared it in 1817, then both temples were moved in 1964 by the help of Egyptian government and UNESCO to avoid the rising water of the Nile, after finishing your visit you will be transferred to Abu Simbel airport to catch your flight back to Aswan.

Afternoon the nile cruise will start sailing a long the nile river towards luxor and enjoy the scenery of the the amazing landscape, islands and the birds immiration .

In th way you  will have a stop after 4 hours sailing from Aswan, where you will visit Kom Ombo Temple, which is different than other Temples as it has dedicated to two gods, Horus the Falcon headed God and Sobek the Crocodile headed God of the Nile and fertility, after enjoying your tour Back to the Cruise and sail onto Edfu ( About 5 hours sailing ).

Day 8 :  Edfu Temple & Navigation to luxor via Esna lock & Luxor Museum

Early morning ( at 05:30 AM ) Pick up time to visit Edfu Temple by a horse carriage, the temple was built during the Ptolemaic Era between 237 BC and 57 BC, consider to be the most preserved temple of Ancient Egypt, after finishing your tour you will back to the cruise to have breakfast and enjoy the sailing onto luxor via Esna water lock .

After arriving Luxor and by the evening (AT 6:00 PM) you will visit Luxor Museum, located on the cornice, overlooking the east bank of the river Nile, and was inaugurated in 1975.

Then after we will back to the cruise to have dinner.

Day 9 :  Hot air balloon ( optional trip ) / check out / karnak & Luxor temples / check-in

After breakfast on board you will check out and start your tour to visit Karnak Temples the most important worship site in ancient Egypt , dedicated to the Theban triad God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu ,Then after you finish you will check in the hotel to rest and relax .

By the sunset you will visit Luxor Temple which was constructed approximately 1400 BC, by King Amunhotep III, of the 18th Dynasty New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II of the 19th, after enjoying your visit you will be transferred to the hotel.

Early morning your guide will pick you up from the cruise, to experience the ballon over Luxor with a light breakfast and tea, to explore the ancient temples and the valley of the kings during the sun rise and to enjoy that mix of nature the west bank of luxor provide

Day 10 :  Valley of the Kings , Queen Hatshepsut Temple and the colossi of Memnon .

After breakfast in the hotel you will explore the West bank of luxor and visit the mysterious Valley of the Kings where 64 tombs royal and unroyal were discovered, The Royal tombs are very well decorated and preserved with the ancient Egyptian beliefs and mythology about the afterlife, then continue your visit to the unique Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, she was not the only queen to rule the ancient Egypt, many queens ruled before her but her fame came from all the monuments she constructed after ascending the throne and still standing till now ,then Carry on to the magnificent Colossi of Memnon, two huge statues of king Amonhotep III ,after finishing your amazing tour , Back to the hotel .

Day 11 : Free Day  

A free relaxing day with an opportunity of an *** optional tour***  to visit the temple of Dendara ( About an hour 20 Mins drive ) one of the most colorful and best preserved temples in egypt, the temple of the goddess Hathor, one of the most important goddesses in ancient Egyptian religion known as the goddess of love and joy, the decoration of the temple is unique and explaining more about Astronomy in ancient Egypt.

After finishing your visit take a safe drive back to Luxor .

Day 12: Free day
