January 2027 Full Egypt Tour

Come and enjoy the sights of Egypt. Tour the Giza Plateau and the spectacular Egyptian Museum. Visit the old capital of ancient Egypt before travelling to Aswan where you will embark on your Nile cruise to explore the amazing ancient temples and the magical Nile River.

Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo     Jan. 15th

Our representative will meet you at Cairo International Airport, transfer you to your hotel, help with your check-in, and give you detailed information concerning your itinerary.

Overnight: Cairo (Steigenberger Tahrir Hotel)

Day 2 - Cairo: The Pyramids of Giza & The Sphinx Jan. 16th

After breakfast, your Egyptologist guide will pick you up from the hotel to accompany you for a visit to The Great Giza Pyramids, constructed between 2589 and 2530 BC by the three famous rulers of the 4th dynasty: Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. These amazing pyramids are the last standing of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then we will see the great sphinx of Giza, located southeast of the pyramids. The date of its construction is not known for certain, but most believe the face of the sphinx represents King Chephren. This mythical animal which has the head of the pharaoh with a lion's body is cut from the bedrock of limestone. Then on to a lunch stop with a view of the pyramids before going back to the hotel to relax.

Day 3 - Cairo: Saqqara, Memphis, Wissa Wasef Weaving Center Jan. 17th 

After breakfast at the hotel you will be driven to Memphis, the Capital of ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom which was founded by pharaoh Menes. You will continue to Saqqara, an ancient burial ground in Egypt. There you will visit the world-famous Step Pyramid of Djoser; the most splendid monument at Saqqara. We will visit one of the Saqqara weaving schools where we will see beautiful handwoven rugs. We will break for lunch at a local restaurant. After we will travel to visit Wissa Wasif, an amazing tapestry and batik center, then head back to the hotel to relax with a free evening.

Day 4 - Cairo: Grand Egyptian Museum Jan. 18th

After breakfast at the hotel you will be driven to spend the day at The Grand Egyptian Museum which is not only Egypt’s new crown jewel, but is also one of the largest, most modern, and most renowned museums in the entire world.

In 2002, the Egyptian Government announced a worldwide competition for the design of a new museum complex to house, display and preserve some of the world’s most ancient treasures with which Egypt has the privilege of being entrusted. This site is only two kilometers away from Egypt’s greatest monuments, the Pyramids of Giza.

Day 5 - Cairo: National Museum of Egyptian Civilization NMEC Saladin Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque, Coptic Cairo Jan 19th

After breakfast you check out of the hotel. We will visit the NMEC which opened recently in 2021, where you can meet the mummies of the kings of ancient Egypt in person for the first time. The museum also hosts artifacts from ancient times, the Middle Ages, and modern Egypt. Afterward you will explore Saladin citadel, one of the most iconic monuments in Islamic Cairo. Over the centuries many monuments were added to the citadel, such as The Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha known as the alabaster mosque. You will then break for lunch before visiting the hanging church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt. Then on to visit the cavern church where the holy family stayed during their journey to Egypt.

Day 6 - Qena & Luxor: Temple of Dendara Jan 20th

After breakfast on the train, we will visit Dendara, one of the most colorful temples in Egypt, dedicated to the Goddess Hathor and built in the Roman Era. After finishing the tour, you will drive to Luxor and check-in to your hotel. In the evening you will visit Luxor Museum located on the cornice, overlooking the east bank of the river Nile.

Day 7: Hot Air Balloon. Karnak and Luxor Temples Jan 21st

Early in the morning you will be picked up from the hotel to experience the balloon over Luxor, to explore the ancient temples and the Valley of the Kings during the sun rise to enjoy the nature of the west bank of Luxor provides. 

After, you will return to your hotel to have breakfast.

After Breakfast you will check out and start your tour to Karnak Temples, dedicated to the Theban triad God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. After finishing your tour, you will be driven back to check- in to your Nile cruise, where you will have lunch and get some rest.

By sunset you will visit the majestic Luxor Temple, which was constructed approximately 1400 BC, by King Amunhotep III, of the 18th Dynasty New Kingdom and completed by Ramesses II of the 19th.

Overnight: 5-star Nile cruise, Luxor 

Day 8 - Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut Temple & Colossi of Memnon Jan 22nd 

After breakfast you will visit the mysterious Valley of the Kings where 64 tombs were discovered. Next, you will continue to the unique Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. She was not the only queen to rule ancient Egypt, but her fame came from all the monuments she constructed that are still standing. Next, we will continue to the magnificent Colossi of Memnon, two huge statues of king Amonhotep III. After your tour, you will have a break for lunch and head back to the Nile Cruise.

Day 9 – Edfu Temple/ Kom Ombo Temple    Jan 23rd

After breakfast you will visit the temple of Horus the falcon headed god, this is the most preserved and intact temple of all Egypt, and was built during the Ptolemaic era (237 BC - 57 BC) on the ruins of an ancient Egyptian temple. Then back to the cruise and enjoy the river breeze and the scenery sailing to Kom Ombo.

Lunch on board, then in the afternoon you will visit Kom Ombo Temple, which is different than other temples as it was dedicated to two gods, Horus the Falcon headed God and Sobek the Crocodile headed God of the Nile and fertility. After enjoying your tour you will be returned back to the cruise and continue sailing to Aswan.

Day 10 – Check out / Fly to Abu Simbel & Back Jan 24th

After breakfast you will check out from the Nile cruise to catch your flight to Abu Simbel (approximately a 40-minute flight), you will visit the Great temple of Ramses II and the temple of his wife Queen Nefertari, carved into the mountain. 

Both temples were discovered in 1813 almost completely sanded up and Belzoni cleared them in 1817. Both temples were moved in 1964 with the help of Egyptian government and UNESCO to avoid the rising water of the Nile. After finishing your visit, you will catch your flight back to Aswan and be driven back to your hotel.

Day 11 – Visit Philae Temple / Felucca Ride Jan 25th

After breakfast you will visit the temple of Philae which dedicated to the Goddess Isis, was built during the Ptolemaic era and was one of the last ancient Egyptian temples to remain active, only closing its doors in the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I (527–565 AD).

After you will be driven back to the Nile cruise.

In the afternoon you will take a ride in a Felucca, the traditional wind-powered Egyptian boat, with a view of Elephantine Island & the botanical garden.

Overnight: Aswan City 

Day 12 – Check Out final departure Jan 26th

We will check out of the hotel then fly to Cairo. You will be in Cairo by 6 pm to catch your flights home.
